Note: Watch out for homeless people. They are everywhere trying to get your money. Use your best judgement. You can usually score drugs here pretty easily, be carful though, they are usually pretty sketchy.

Freemont Street Expirience
The Freemont Street Experience is always wonderful. The complete street is lined with a shader housing screens. The screens project a wonderful light show that is free to the public and is a place to always hear wonderful tunes. Men playing the bass with their teeth, smooth jazz saxophonists blaring wild music over an amplifier, Men playing tom drums with drumsticks, oh and they even have a stage with live music. Dang Las Vegas is sick. I always like to stop by at the Griffin, they have a really chill atmosphere and great music. I always end up getting kicked out though, I don't know why. Maybe because I get really drunk before I go inside, or maybe it is because I have never bought a drink from their bars, or maybe its because I dance a little crazy........... I don't know, but I am going to grow a beard before I ever go in there again. I like insert coins, its pretty chill, you can rent a game controller and play street fighter or nazi zombies right at the bar, they also have great music and a very spacious dance floor. Beauty bar is pretty nice as well, cute bartender, chill music, crazy people, and pajamas. I like how BB has live music acts as well, I want to go to a show there stat. The bar right across the street from BB is cool too but I guess not enough for me to remember its name. Its always crowded because it stays open up late.

Sneaking into EDC 2013
As some of you may know, last month EDC Las Vegas transformed the Las Vegas speedway into a Electronic play-pit full of all sorts of different surprises and attractions. Giant sunglasses etched with electrolite wire was surrounded by a Giant faux boombox and along with multiple carnival rides (all designed to make you sick). I chose to go on the antigravity ride and attempt to stand and almost coated the entire whirling disk with the lunch I just recently ate. While I was sitting criss cross applesauce on this ride, I would feel as though I was floating between two different spinning worlds with two sets of gravity. I thought about Karma, then the awful feeling that I felt, and decided that sneaking in was totally worth it.

Artificial
The wind and birds move me,
Gracefully they sing their song,
The wavelength of touch, the movement I see,
Cool air chills but I am content,
Swim in my thoughts,
Take a seat, pitch your tent,
Fill me up,
Read my book,
Watch me breath,
Our frequency,
Soft light kisses the flesh,
The brittle leaves break their stems,
Green is so significant,
Why is it not to man,
Eternal perplexity,
Impartial memories,
Are we I or are we one,
Subconscious breaks in the imortal one,
Pale as night,
Soft as steel,
See my sight,
Hear the squeal,
Gasp for breath,
Breath for life,
Eternal darkness,
Eternal light.

New song: Elestensi
I recently purchased an Xbox 360 controller for Windows which can be purchased here, I do not really know the reasoning to why I purchased it but I did. I found a way to use my newly acquired gaming controller to as a controller for Ableton which can be purchased at many price ranges here. By using Controller mate which can be downloaded here. I used two songs that I made the previous day to have a little fun and trigger certain parts of the song with the press of a button or the direction of a joystick. I have still not fully mastered controller mate but I am hoping that eventually I can figure out a way to adjust parameters and faders with the joysticks, until then here is my new tune.

Lil B 'The Based God': Gods Father
Looks like the Based God has done it again. Lil B has finally dropped his most recent mixtape Gods Father, and surprising to you it is great. I really enjoy this mix-tape. The lyrics are great, the beats are great, and the variety is amazing. From the smooth sounds of 'Sf Mission Music', to the emotional tone of 'I Love You', this mix-tape is a must have. Lil B is rare. He has changed the face of rap music for good. The personality of Lil B is very humane. His tweets and status updates are full of simple thoughts, thoughts that are simply overlooked or ignored but need addressing.
Brandon McCartney, also know as Lil B 'The Based God', has a very successful marketing strategy. He is making his alias Lil B 'The Based God' into a mythic like figure. I think it is amazing. Lil B is everywhere and anywhere. He fucked your bitch, he fucked my bitch. Thank you Based God.

Minor Threat Analyzation
Analyzing Minor Threats “Salad Days”
Minor Threat’s “Salad Days”, describes the end a youthful time in one’s life and the reassurance that there is no turning back, stressing the importance of living life to its fullest potential.
The preservation of youth is an important topic addressed by Minor Threat in “Salad Days”. In the excerpt, “Wishing for the days when I first wore this suit,” can express a feeling of regret for not considering the valuableness of youth. The hope that maybe one can stay young is diminished by society’s views on midlife children, or the anxieties caused by experiences in everyday life. The term “suit”, may represent the physical body, and the line “when I first wore this suit,” can illustrate when an individual was born. This can show the common urge for a time in one’s life, when it was accepted to be inexperienced. The lines “But I stay on, I stay on Where do I get off? On to greener pastures,” can represent a youth waiting to become an adult. It can signify the feeling of still being young even if one was at the age of maturity. It can also represent a child’s idea of being an adult, and the assumption that life gets easier with age.
The struggles to meet expectations set when in times of youth are described by Minor Threat in the lines, “Baby has grown older, It’s no longer cute,” and, “Baby has grown ugly, It’s no longer cute”. These separate statements can represent a parent struggling to repudiate their past expectations and accept their offspring for what they have become. It can also denote the strife of the child, who cannot meet expectations set by their parents, or society. The quote shows that as an individual reaches the standard age of adulthood their state of mind doesn’t exactly change with their new age. This portion simply expresses how fast time passes and how people aren’t aware until it’s too late.
The term “ugly”, can refer to an individual who changes from a sweet baby to a criminal. In the quote, “too many voices, they’ve made me mute,” the idea that peer pressures help mold you is stated. For example if an individual is demeaned multiple times they can develop an uneasiness to interact socially. The quote shows the effects of being told what’s wrong so many times, illustrating how it can make a person just give up on their aspirations’ completely. The quote can also express the fear of expressing one’s self, due to social anxieties or fear of conflict. As a person gets older they’re core beliefs and morals change, the quote, “The core has gotten soft,” puts that idea into a good perspective.
Minor Threat puts life in a different veiw, where either you live to die or live to live. The lines “But I stay on, I stay on Where do I get off? On to greener pastures,” can represent the many followers of religion, who set aside their true goals to dedicate their lives to making it into heaven. It describes the many people who believe every story and follow every law, no matter how brutal. The same people who live a whole life of worship only to make it to heaven.
One of the key messages to this song is to savor time. Life goes by fast and there is no way to go back. Minor Threat criticizes society for wasting time in the quote,” Look at us today We've gotten soft and fat Waiting for the moment, Its just no coming back”. This statement illustrates how lazy our society has become from the lack of effort. It is symbolized to “Dwell upon our memories,“and sit around waiting for excitement gets us nowhere. Life is what you make it, not how you made it. The passage emphasizes the importance of living each day to the fullest no matter what age. People don’t get anything accomplished waiting around living in memories. The blunt statement,” It’s just no coming back,” explains there is no way to relive your good times. In the excerpt, “Wishing for the days when I first wore this suit,” the desire to be reborn and relive ones childhood is expressed. The word “wished” was used to emphasize that it’s not possible in reality. No matter how hard you try theirs no going back to the past.
Minor Threat articulates the importance of living life to one’s own standards. Wasting time worrying what other people think can keep a person from accomplishing they’re true desires. In the last line, “there are no facts,” Minor Threat emphasizes the fact that there is no right way to have fun. If someone has fun robbing people they are still having fun. It doesn’t matter how society looks at it, as long as it feels fun to you, than you are having fun. The same goes for beliefs, If it feels right to you than follow it to the end.
In conclusion, Minor Threat’s “Salad Days” describes the end of youth. The pressures and desires of everyday life in this sensitive time are explained both upfront and paradoxically. They signify the importance of making each day memorable and not looking back.

Stevie Wonder. lol
Stevie Wonder the Blind Genius
Stevie Wonder, Born Steveland Judkins (Changed to Steveland Morris, his mothers maiden name.) is an African American singer, song writer, and producer known all around the world. He is fluent with a wide range of instruments, Including the drums, guitar, bass guitar, synthesizers, congas, clavinet, the melodica,(most famously) the piano, harmonica and keyboard. Also a producer Stevie composed for several artists including Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, The Spinners, Micheal Jackson and other artists. As one of the most successful artists on the Motown label, Its no surprise why he is thought of as a musical genius. Wonder has recorded more than 30 top ten hits, has won nearly two dozen Grammys, Including one for lifetime achievement, and been inducted into both the Rock and Roll hall of fame and the Songwriters hall of fame. Some of his greatest hits include “Isn't she lovely”, “I just called to say I love you”, “Superstition”, “Ebony and Ivory”, “Uptight”, “I was made to love her”, “For once in my life”, and so on.
Steveland Judkins wasborn in Sagina, Michigan on May 13, 1950 as the third of six children born to Calvin Judkins and Lula Mae Hardaway Morris. Born premature, the blood vessels at the back of his eyes had not yet reached the front, and their aborted growth caused the retinas to detach. The medical term for this is called rethinopathy of prematurity. It is also thought that it way have been exacerbated by the oxygen pumped into his incubator, But the treatment was not the primary cause of his blindness.
When wonder was four, his mother left his father and moved herself and her children to Detroit, Michigan. His mother changed her legal name back to Lula Hardaway Morris. At age seven Steveland started to play piano and mastered it by the time he was nine years old. In his early childhood he sang in his churches choir. Wonder started to teach himself how to play the harmonica and the drums, and he mastered both by the age of ten. He even taught himself how to play the bass guitar. In 1961, at the age of eleven, Wonder was discovered singing outside a street corner by a relative of Ronnie White of 'The Miracles', who wonder was later introduced to. White brought Wonder and his mother to Motown records, where he impressed Motown CEO Berry Gordy who immediately signed him to Motown's Tamla label under the name 'Little Stevie Wonder' . Wonder released his first two albums, The Jazz Soul of Little Stevie and Tribute to Uncle Ray, in 1962, to little success. By age 13 Stevie finally had his first major hit,”Fingertips (Pt.2)”, Which was a 1963 single taken from a live recording of a Motor Town Revenue performance, issued on the album, 'Recorded Live: The 12 Year Old Genius'. Wonder was featured on vocals, bongos, and harmonica, and a young Marvin Gaye on the drums. The song hit number one on the U.S. Pop an R&B charts, launching him int the public's consciousness. In 1964, Stevie Wonder made his film debut in Muscle Beach Party as himself. He returned to the big screen to the sequel Bikini Beach, released five months later. He performed on-screen in both films, singing “Happy Street” and “Happy Feelin”
During the mid 1960s wonder dropped the “Little” from his name, Officially making him Stevie Wonder. Wonder went on to have a number of other hits during the mid-1960s, including “Uptight”, “With a Child's Heart” and “Blowin' in the wind”, a Bob Dylan cover which was one of the first songs to really reflect Wonder's social consciousness. Wonder also begin working as a songwriter in the Motown songwriting department, Composing songs for both himself and his label mates, including “Tears of a Clown”, a number one hit performed by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles
In the 80's wonder scored his biggest hits reaching very high level of fame brought on by increased album sales, Charity participation, high-profile collaborations, impact on politics, and appearances on television. The soundtrack album for the movie The Secret Life of Plants titled Journey Through the Secret Life of Plants, Mostly instrumental, the album had been regarded as an unusual classic. That very same year wonder wrote and produced the song “Lets Get Serious”, A song performed by Jermain Jackson. Hotter Than July became Wonder's first Platinum-selling single album, its single “Happy Birthday” was succesful in making Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday a national holiday.
In 1983, Stevie Collaborated with The Beatles Paul McCartney to try to make peace among races with “Ebony and Ivory”. Later that year Wonder performed the song “Stay Gold”, The theme to Francis Ford Coppola's film adaptation of S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders. Wonders song “I Just Called to Say I Love You”, was a # 1 pop and R&B hit of the soundtrack album for The Women in Red. That following year's In Square Circle featured the # 1 pop hit “Part Time Lover”
By 1985 Wonder was an American icon known all over the country. He even was impersonated by Eddie Murphy on Saturday Night Live. Wonder sometimes joined in jokes about himself; in the Motown Revenue Smokey Robinson presented Wonder with an award plaque, which he pretended to read out loud and notice a spelling mistake.
In 1987, Wonder appeared on Micheal Jackson's Bad album on the duet “Just Good Friends”
Wonder continued to write and record music but lost popularity in the next decade, although he still remained an American icon. In 2009 wonder was the first person ever to receive the Montreal Jazz Festival Spirit Award.
Wonder has been married twice once to Motown singer Syreeta Wright from 1972 until their divorce in 1972, only two years after their engagement. Since 2001 he has been married to Kai Milla Morris a fashion designer. He has seven children from his two marriages and several relationships. His daughter, Aisha Morris, was the inspiration for his hit single “Isn't She Lovely”. In may 2006, Wonders mother died in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 76. at a concert in Birmingham he spoke about the decision to tour again following his loss.
My opinion on the song “Isn't She Lovely” is as follows. From the start of the song I like the the bass line and melody of the song. The drum beat is swingish and is not to simple, I hear synth in the back ground which gives it a nice feel. The harmonica solo is perfect I wouldn't expect someone to be able to play like that. It sounds soulful yet still pop. If I saw him on the street I would not expect him to sing so good. This song could be re released 20 years from now and still be a hit.
Wonder is a prominent figure in popular music during the latter half of the century.
He is a very influential and inspirational person, to have never been able to see but to still be so ingenious to have mastered the art of songwriting and composing is amazing. Wonder's success as a musical performer influenced popular music and also to the public. He has influenced Stevie Ray Vaughan, Barack obama, The Neptunes, Tupac Shakur, Will Smith, Snoop Dogg, Kirk Franklin, Mariah Carey, N'Sync, Whitney Houston, Beyonce Knowles, And many more artists. The lyrics to some of his songs aren't really that complex but he sings like a master of song. The way he layers different rhythms and sounds makes him a very prominent producer with a large amount of skill for his craft. He is a proud black man that does not let anything slow his step.
I think that a lot of credit for his musical genius was derived from his lack of sight, He could not hear so his main sense was his ears. His appreciation for sounds are all he has, This makes him a superpower because he has nothing to focus on but music. If he could see he would be interested in his appearance, and normal every day things. He also would be more intimidated because he wouldn't have a special trait like blindness, and then he would be just an average joe with talent which he would have had to work much harder to obtain a recording contract.
My opinion's on the son “I Just Called to Say I Love You” are as follows. The lyrics to this song are very upbeat. It sounds like a modeled love song. Right off the bat I Enjoy the repetitive synth in the background along with a rhythmic synth. The bass line is kind of funky it makes you want to dance with somebody. Wonder sings this song wonderfully he sounds as if he's singing straight to a person not even on a song. I think it is a great compilation of rhythms that make a perfect song. I also like the digital feel of the high hat and how the drums still sound live.
My opinion's on the song “satisfaction” are as follows. The drums and bass line go great together and that guitar riff is amazing. It sounds like liquid funk. I also like how the brass in the background comes later on in the song and really blazes this track. He's talking about how people who are superstitious end up falling victim to they're superstitions because they believe in them so much that its bound to come true. One line is “superstition ain't the way” Pretty much saying don't believe in it or its going happen.
My opinion's on the song “Sir Duke” are as follows. The brass in the introduction and the drums make my head nod. After the break the guitar sounds pretty complex but the drums don't sound as complex but are still appealing. If you listen carefully you can hear wonder playing keyboard to the rhythm. This son is about how some music sounds good but you can't dance to it, and how when a song has a groove to it you can feel it all over and it jolts your body and makes you want to move.

My Cultural Identity
My individual culture can best be described simply with an mp3 player. I have grown up with music being a key part in my life. My father being a musician, played music nonstop since I was born. When I listen to music I listen to each sound and beat, reading the lyrics in my head as the song plays. The newly learned ideals being remembered, only to be sorted later while in deep thought. Many of my morals and ideas come from the music I have heard throughout life. Not following popular culture is a philosophy I have adopted from understanding music. I feel that some forms of popular media can control culture, and I think it can destroy some individualism. With every song played I gain knowledge and distrust society more and more. Without music I would not have thought about how people are used as pawns so other people can live comfortably without worry.
While growing up I have gone through many phases and each phase can be recorded with the introduction of a new artist or genre. From my discovery of punk to my new found love of classic rock, each leap of direction is started by profound life experiences. Even today when I play Nirvana my memory of my child hood flashes before my eyes. I remember it playing on my clock radio as I bounced around my room in a state of total anarchy, flinging legos about and screaming at the top of my lungs. As I started school pop music was the thing to love, and like any fad I was pulled into the stream unaware of the lameness. As I began to question my surroundings as I grew older and wiser. While in middle school I discovered the punk ideology and rebelliousness. I continued hating rules developing a strong disgust for the government. Shoplifting and being untruthful were daily things I were involved with. I still feel a strong dislike toward society and the laws I was forced to abide by. As I entered high school I changed my mood toward classic rock and became accustomed to the more relaxing music. Listening to this music made me feel closer to my parents who grew up with classic rock. As I started smoking sensimilla, I began listening to sublime gaining much insight from their music. With each step in complexity and simplicity I gained knowledge. I became completely vexed by the inciting beat of the drums. With each change in tempo, my mood shifts.
As I go through the day I think of the musicians life and what their life lessons can teach me. I think of the lifelong struggles they may have faced, and how I can use them to free me from my life's prison. I am an individual who is full of energy. Music helps me set my problems aside, get up and go. Each day helping me escape my peers and the boring lifestyle they are accustomed too. Music gives me that tingly feeling in my gut that tells I can do anything. To me it is the fuel that bounces me to work or to school. As I listen to music it reminds me of the time I first listened to it. I feel the mood and see the surroundings as if it were dejavu.
Music is the best form of philosophy because music isn't bias. The sounds draw you in and trap you, letting the words rip at your mind. Attention is always focused on the melody while subliminally processing the meaning. We challenge or ideas and remake our beliefs while stuck following the rhythm. My culture is always changing with every realization and every conversation. I chose an mp3 player because as I grow so does my library and my memories.
Music
I fucking love music. I just thought I would share my love with the internets. When I listen to music I feel lost in the sound, my emotions are one with the sound and the flow. To me music is a drug, it numbs me but not really. I would say that music helps me ignore my problems, the soothing pleasurable sounds take my attentions away from boredom or depression, and drops my mind off in an interact-able experience.
The feeling you receive from paying attentions to the sounds of music rely on many things (forgot the word), the emotions can come from a memory associated with the song, the sounds from the song itself, or the feeling can come about due to the situation one is in while listening to the song. When I am drunk as fuck, my friend driving the car with fast paced electronic music pumping, I feel like fucking great grisly god.
I am a drummer, I play when I feel it is time to. My drum set is pure shit. It was purchased by my fathers ex wife who he was getting back together with. They had some sort of falling out or something. A couple weeks after receiving the set this lady killed herself. She drove off a 550 foot cliff in Colorado.
I can surly say the drum set sounds much better.
:)
I am a horrible writer.
BE GETTING BETTER.
